As we come upon this week, remembering Christ’s resurrection, we must never forget the price He paid at Calvary for all!

This is what makes His resurrection so exciting!  The price He paid was matchless to any other price anyone else could have possibly

paid!  Jesus paid this price so that He could have an intimate relationship with us as He once had with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and so that we could glory Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength .  May we also remember that He is our Shepherd, and that He never will leave us nor forsake us as we walk in accordance with His will.  We must trust the Lord and keep His commandments that He might glorify Himself through us all! Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the light, we must go through Him to enter into His fold, and to know Him in the way that He desires us to. Jesus said, ”
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.  But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.  The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.  As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.  And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
It is my hearts desire that we all would abide in the fold of our Father, and that we would not only know our Shepherd’s voice, but that we would obey it! God Bless you all as you continue to remember the true reason for our Savior’s death and resurrection!

Thank You for this day

“An attitude of gratitude” is something many of us hope to achieve. How wonderful it would be to wake up each day with thanksgiving on our lips, praising God from a sincere heart for what He has done. And then to continue throughout the day with eyes that look for what God is doing in all things--good or bad--and to thank Him for all of it. “We thank You for this day…” Are we prepared to say this no matter what? As we look forward to a new day, can we, knowing that trials may come our way, say to Him, “Lord, no matter what, I thank You?” Can we look back at any typical day as a blessing from God? There is freedom in the kind of faith that recognizes that everything that comes into a child of God’s life is a blessing that God has allowed for His purpose. And there is a remarkable power when we thank God, praising Him in all things, and giving Him glory for the least to the greatest of things in our lives.

Misunderstanding God's Direction

If you are like me, there are times that you pursue the path of God with sincerity, only to discover that you misunderstood His direction. It can be pretty disheartening to believe you are doing what God wants, only to realize along the way that you made a wrong turn. At such a time, it would be easy to get upset, or angry with yourself. You might begin questioning your decisions about many other things, or start thinking about the ‘if onlys.’ “If only I would have…I would be…” here or there by now, etc. At such a time, take heart, and remember two of my favorite words: “But God.” You may have made a mistake, but God is bigger. You may have misunderstood, but God knew your heart was in the right place. You may be off course—but God is able to bring good things out of bad, and always more than able to get you on the right path.

Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight

My Peace

You cannot find God’s peace by seeking it, but only by seeking God do you find it. When we are faced with troubled times, it is often our first impulse to find the quickest escape. But if we must endure, perhaps then we ask God for His peace as we endure. We know there are storms we must weather; yet we would hope for God’s peace to get us through; perhaps to sedate us until the storm is over. But the peace of God does not come to end our troubles, or to make us comfortable or unaware of our pain. His peace comes to us as we seek Christ who is the bringer of peace--not because we seek the peace itself. In troubled times, we seek Him. While pain persists, we seek Him. We open His Word, we open our hearts, and we seek Him. And peace is there within Him.

Coming Near

“Come unto me,” He says, “and I will…” And He will! He will give you rest. He will strengthen you, and uphold you. He will show you wonderful things you do not know. He will demonstrate again and again His unending love for you. He will, and He will. Come near to God, and He will come near to you. The closer we come to God, the more we feel the wonders of His grace, His blessings, and His presence. We come near, and we hear His voice more clearly with each passing day. We come near, and our faith becomes substance, and the troubles of this world fade in comparison to His provision. With all the wonderful things He has for us, it is baffling that we often do not draw near, but trust our own reason, ability and understanding. Don’t delay any longer--draw near, and He will…

James 4:8, NIV: Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
